If you didn’t already know, 2017 is ending soon. While most people have been using this time to brainstorm what their New Years’s Resolutions, I want you to first look back on the past year. Yes, maybe you do have high hopes for 2018 and want to jump right in without a backward glance toward everything that happened in 2017. But I think that it’s important to look back and see what you’ve accomplished.
If you can, try and remember what your New Years’ Resolutions were for 2017. Now, how many of them have you accomplished? If, like me, you’ve reached absolutely none of them, don’t feel bad. Instead, focus on the things like how you read a book that completely changed your life or you learned a new skill or made new friends. Instead of focusing on what you didn’t accomplish, focus on all the things that make you different from the person that you were at the beginning of the year. And as you make your New Years’ Resolutions now, keep in mind that your interests and priorities might change, and try not to put too much pressure on yourself to reach them.
In other news, Tina and I started a new tumblr account @wolves-n-ravens, it is here that we are hoping to share a more personal side of us through sharing the things that we create.
